India's Innovation and Invention Ecosystem

India's Innovation
Pipeline Is Open.
Finally.

5.7 crore MSMEs  ·  1.5 million engineers  ·  One structured bridge to Viksit Bharat 2047.

ForgePoint helps India's MSMEs solve their toughest operational and engineering problems. Every engagement begins by finding the one constraint actually limiting performance — rarely the problem that's easiest to see. We then implement proven solutions where they exist — or invent new ones, through faculty-led student engineering teams supported by AI. Practical, implementable solutions that improve business performance by a multiplier — at a price point built for MSMEs, not boardrooms.

An India where every business can access world-class problem solving, and every engineering graduate enters industry forged by solving real industrial problems.

Indians employed by MSMEs — second only to agriculture

MSMEs are the substrate of Viksit Bharat 2047. But the median MSME runs on tribal knowledge, ageing machines, and zero R&D budget. Every unsolved shop-floor problem is a brake on the $30-trillion economy India has committed to becoming.

Fix the MSME shop floor and you fix India's growth math.

The MSME Owner With No Safe Way to Try

India's MSMEs sit on unsolved operational and technical problems — automation they cannot deploy, AI they cannot afford to explore, process inefficiencies that consultants would charge lakhs to address. Their budget does not extend to formal R&D. Their networks do not reach the right talent.

The real blocker is structural: no credible way to act, individuals who absorb the risk of failed pilots, and innovation that is always optional when production targets are not.

The Engineer Who Never Met Industry

Four years of mechanical, electronics, CS, mechatronics. Labs, theory, viva. And then a final-year project chosen from a YouTube tutorial — because no MSME owner ever walked into the campus to say "this is what I actually need." 1.5 million graduates a year. Less than 1% touch a real industrial problem before they get a degree. The rest are graded, filed, and forgotten.

The gap is not talent. It is not intent. The gap is the first industry handshake — a structured connection that does not exist. And because it does not exist, the cycle compounds every year: another batch graduates having never seen the floor they're supposed to transform.

ForgePoint is the missing layer.

The talent pipeline and the industry pipeline both exist. What has never existed is the structured bridge between them. We diagnose the real constraint, then implement a proven solution where one exists — or seed the problem into curated, faculty-led talent pools to invent one where it doesn't. We manage structured delivery end-to-end, enforce IP frameworks, and close every engagement with a working solution in the business. We are not a better version of what exists. We are the layer that was missing.

How We Work

Two Tracks.
One Discipline.

Not a consultant report. Not a vendor demo. Not a hackathon that ends on Sunday. Not an academic project. Every engagement begins with the same diagnosis. Where a proven solution already exists, we implement it — the Innovation track. Where none does, faculty-led student engineering teams invent one — the Invention track. The steps differ; the discipline doesn't.

DIAGNOSE
Constraint Diagnosis (TOC) · the shared front door
Every engagement starts here, and nothing is committed until it's done. We find the one constraint actually limiting performance — rarely the problem that's easiest to see. The diagnosis scales to the problem: a TOC-aligned problem brief in 1–2 weeks, through to full TOC problem diagnostics over 3–4 weeks with NDA, scope and commercial terms, closing with a debrief session. Its output sets everything that follows — the constraint, whether a proven solution already exists, and therefore which track you run.
Innovation Track Proven solutions · ForgePoint's TOC consulting experts
DESIGN
Fit the Solution to You
Package and customisation design and development. The solution already exists — the work is making it fit your operation, your data and your floor.
IMPLEMENT
Deploy It for Real
Continuous integration and deployment, with ongoing improvement built in rather than a one-off install. Where the proven solution is an AI one, this is where it gets applied — trained on your data and fitted to your floor. Typically 6–9 months.
OPERATIONS
Hand It Over
Handover to operations — business and IT. The solution runs in your business, owned by your people, not dependent on us.
Invention Track New solutions, R&D · faculty-led student engineering teams
CURATE
Build the Right Team
A faculty-led team is matched to the problem on skill-problem fit, not college brand — drawn from our curated pool of post-graduate institutes and engineering colleges, with early-stage startups brought in where a problem calls for it. Briefed from the diagnosis, not starting from theory. IP & NDA framework signed before work begins.
Selection is competitive. Being chosen means something. Teams arrive motivated, not defaulting.
SPRINT
12–16 Weeks. Structured. Accountable.
Weekly check-ins, faculty mentoring the work day to day, advisor and consultant governance. G1 mid-sprint pivot point — all teams re-confirm direction. Industry contact limited to 6–8 hours total. Sprints may repeat for multiple prototype revisions.
At Gate 1, teams re-confirm their approach. Urgency and structured course-correction — not cuts.
DEMO
Demo Day → Pilot Commitment
Industry partner attends Demo Day with a pre-committed pilot conversation. A working prototype is demonstrated — not a PowerPoint, not a simulation. The pilot conversation was built into the model from day one.
A real client in the room. Not a certificate — a career or commercial moment.

Your track and duration are locked at DIAGNOSE.

Which track you run — and how long it takes — is determined by the diagnosis, based on the nature of the problem and whether a proven solution already exists. ForgePoint does not curate a team or design a solution until the problem brief and track are determined. The tracks aren't sealed off from each other: where an Innovation engagement runs into something that still has to be invented, it draws on Invention teams as needed — same governance, same accountability, no second engagement to negotiate.

The Network Behind the Sprint

For the Engineer

What the Engineer
Walks Away With.

The sprint IP belongs to the Industry Partner — that's non-negotiable, and it's what makes MSMEs trust us. But the engineer leaves with something no classroom delivers.

A Deployment, Not a Project

A working solution on a real shop floor, with an industry-partner reference attached to it. Verifiable. Referenceable. The strongest possible first line on a CV for an engineer entering the workforce.

Domain Fluency

You now understand an industry from the inside — not from a case study. You've seen the floor, the constraints, the people, the economics. That fluency compounds across every job and every problem you take on afterwards.

For most, the strongest first job they could ask for. For a few, the start of something they'll build themselves.

When an engineer has diagnosed a problem, shipped a solution, and watched it earn a paying pilot, they've learned where the next ten problems live. If that becomes a venture, the ForgePoint network — mentors, advisors, ecosystem — is there.

AI in Practice

Where AI Earns
Its Place.

AI accelerates the analysis and is part of the solution we build. Once the diagnosis has found the real constraint, these are the three problem classes where AI's ROI is clearest — illustrative, not exhaustive.

Quality & Inspection Problems
Computer Vision
Skilled labour is scarce, inconsistent, and a single point of failure.
Vision-based inspection and AI-guided process consistency reduce dependence on tacit human knowledge — so quality holds regardless of who is on shift.
→ Quality inspection · Defect detection · Process monitoring
Reliability & Maintenance Problems
Predictive Analytics
Machines fail without warning. Downtime is expensive. Maintenance is reactive.
Sensor data and pattern recognition identify failure signatures days before breakdown — shifting maintenance from reactive to scheduled, and scheduled to predictive.
→ Predictive maintenance · Anomaly detection · OEE optimisation
Consistency & Yield Problems
Process Optimisation
Yield varies. Root cause is unknown. Every shift produces a different outcome.
Process parameter capture and optimisation models find the settings that consistently produce the best output — making that knowledge independent of any individual operator.
→ Yield optimisation · Parameter tuning · Root cause analysis
If foundation is missing
AI Readiness Sprint
4–6 weeks · Data architecture, process baseline, AI roadmap
AI on the shop floor
AI Solution Sprint
12–16 weeks · Working AI prototype on your shop floor

Some problems are ready to build today — we go straight to the Solution Sprint. Others need a data or process foundation first — we run the Readiness Sprint, then build. The diagnosis tells us which.

Where We're Starting

Where India's Problems
Are Hardest

Our method is sector-agnostic — finding the real constraint works the same way on any operation. These four are simply where we're starting: GDP growth, MSME density, and manufacturing ambition are highest, and the gap between operational problems and available technical talent is widest. If your sector isn't here, the model still applies.

Why Businesses Choose ForgePoint

The Problem With Every
Solution You've Tried Before.

Consultants deliver reports. Vendors deliver demos. Hackathons deliver enthusiasm. None of them deliver a working solution on your shop floor. ForgePoint does.

Holistic Problem Solving
Innovation or Invention — we handle everything.
Most providers own a slice: diagnosis, or build, or deployment. We own the whole arc — implementing a proven solution where one exists, inventing one where it doesn't. One engagement, one accountable partner, no handoffs.
Breakthrough Results
A multiplier on performance. Priced for MSMEs.
Breakthrough results come from relentless focus on the constraint — the leverage point — and making systematic improvements there. And we price for the businesses we serve — sized for an MSME budget, with fees tied to outcomes wherever we own the outcome, so the cost doesn't land before the benefit does.
Minimal Touch Time
Hours, not days, from you.
On an Invention sprint, your commitment is a scoping call, 6–8 hours of touchpoints, and showing up at Demo Day. On an Innovation engagement, it's 1–2 hours of owner or business-head time a week. Everything else is ours.
Our Mission & Team

Built by People Who've
Worked the Problem

ForgePoint identifies and removes the constraints limiting business performance by combining the Theory of Constraints, AI, and faculty-led student engineering teams. We implement proven solutions where they exist and invent new ones where they don't — helping businesses become more competitive while forging the next generation of engineers.
